I’ve finally had time to update my site & set up a my domain and getting it all working with a new template. I’ll eventually load old content here from other pages and sites to fill it out a bit. I’ll definitely start post more often than I was before since I own everything here.

aPlus.net is the WORST hosting company – so glad to be rid of them. My old site (and my husband’s) languished because whenever we called, there was new company that managed our hosting. I’m not kidding – I’d call because of a problem on the site and no one would have any clue how to help me get my site restored from back up so I just left it. My email worked via google apps for domains so, nothing to worry about, let the sites sit there.

After years of fussing about it, I finally decided to deal with the super annoyance of moving to a new host. I bought a couple of domains on Just Host that were sitting there and decided to move both mine and husband’s sites. I had also decided that this domain is where I would experiment with new internet stuff and set up WordPress with all the bells and whistles. The theme is “Echo Magazine” by ThemeinWP.

Transferring from aPlus took five days for each domain we moved and lots of yelling at tech support. These transfers took longer than any I’ve done in my career on the internet. Domain transfers normally take no more than a day, sometimes two, but each time I called they said the transfer should be done fairly quickly but never told me the timeline until one of my last calls moving my husband’s domain.

I’ll try to move my posts from other sites to this one and add links to the side bar if I can’t retire the content.
