I was taken off ECMO one year ago today. One of our friends from Texas, who came for a few weeks to help my husband, posted to my facebook page about me breathing on my own. He’s the only reason I know the date. I was still a little spacey and stoned from pain meds at this point in time. I still have very vivid memories of my dreams while I was out of it. I don’t remember a lot from that period of time but it was definitely weird.
