Pillows For the Couch

Many ages ago, I designed some fabric and had it printed by Spoonflower on their eco-canvas fabric. I’m pleased with how the print came out but I never did anything with it. I busted out my sewing machine and finally made something with the fat quarters! Pillows!

I know, not groundbreaking crafts by any means but I’m on a roll. I could have made multiples of something smaller but I like the little pillows.

This is the best picture I could get of the finished product in my dark, dark living room. They look lovely on my dark grey couch.

To make them, I cut the fat quarters in half and sewed them all around the edges about a centimeter, leaving an opening big enough for my hand to slip in. The eco-canvas fabric is not pin friendly, much like cordura, so I opted for binder clips to hold it all together while sewing.

One trick I learned, and I’m not sure where, a while back was that Target has great cheap pillows that can be ripped apart for their stuffing. It stays fluffy and stuffs easily.

The pillows are 4 dollars a piece and I still had enough left to stuff something small.
